Oh Carrot Cake

Oh, luscious Carrot Cake, bright shines thy beauty fair,
when hands your sweetness eagerly received,
and subtle patterns on the surface were perceived,
Soft hills of frosting ringing golden valleys there.

And then I scented sweet perfume was dancing in the air.
Never was lust for thee e'er less relieved,
it pulled a veil before my eyes, and you deceived
me into using lips and mouth to lay thine beauty bare.

Your taste and sight, cunning temptations all,
for your sweet kiss I am not able to forget.
Despite my admiration of thee I regret
the times my strength of will for you does fall
that lead to all these extra rolls of fat
and leave me needing to ignore your siren call.

I gave in today despite my efforts and made myself write a poem :)
