Ignoring 'Specialists'

I find it so very, very hard to ignore what mainstream specialists say. Even if my own experiences tell me that for my body (I'm not making claims about anyone else, just me) cannot lose any weight on any carbs over 100 I still try it because the nutritionist pushed so hard and because other groups I'm in to help me with weightloss also push carbs (I get free Weight Watchers through my job benefits, and WW always stresses no food should be off limits).

And of course I gained even on 130 carbs, and it's my own fault because I wanted to believe that it was unhealhty not to eat bread and I love to eat bread, it tastes sooo good... But it doesn't work. I have to be at keto levels to really lose and at 100 g, no higher, to stay equal. But the fact that it makes certain foods off limits for me makes me feel deprived and I binge as a result. I don't know how to fix this catch-22.

Though something that kept making me think is that if normal macronutrient percentages are 5o percent carbs, 20 percent protein, 30 percent fat, then why is making hte division a bit different immediately bad? I'm not trying to eat 0 percent of carbs, I' eating 20 if I do 100 grams a day, 10 if I do Keto. So that is moderation, isn't it? but instead of 'severe moderation' on fat I do 'severe moderation' on carbs. Why is that not moderation if the numbers are similar but just turned around? (the percentages I gravitate towards are 50 percent fat, 30 protein, 20 carbs).

Why can't I just make it work :( Why do I keep craving foods that I know are bad for me. Why do I dream of donuts. It's a puzzle I haven't worked out yet :(
